League of United Latin American Citizens and Hispanic Federation Urge Democratic Leadership in Congress to Pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform Within the First 100 Days of the New Congress.

Washington, D.C. (Jan. 9, 2007) – The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the Hispanic Federation (HF) have sent a letter to Majority Leader, Harry Reid and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, urging their leadership on the important issue of immigration reform during the first 100 days of the 110th Congress. In the letter, HF President Lillian Rodriguez-Lopez joined by LULAC National President, Rosa Rosales underscore the need to fix the country’s outdated immigration laws and provide a legal pathway for the 12 million undocumented immigrants already living and working in the country.
