2007 Partnership Package - Convention Section (PDF)2008 NATIONAL CONVENTION

On behalf of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), I would like to invite your company or agency to participate in LULAC's 79th Annual National Convention and Exposition to be held in Washington, DC from July 7 through July 12, 2007.  As the premier Hispanic convention, the LULAC National Convention generally draws over 10,000 people for a week of notable events. This year’s convention featured 100 panelists and speakers in workshops and seminars as well as in meal events, a three-day exposition with over 200 exhibitors, a career fair, housing fair, the Federal Training Institute and the election of LULAC’s national officers. Our National Convention packs more energy and excitement than any other event in the Hispanic Community.

The League of United Latin American Citizens is the nation's oldest and largest Hispanic organization in the United States.  With a national membership of 115,000, there are over 600 LULAC Councils in virtually every state of the nation and in Puerto Rico.  Our mission is to advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health, and civil rights of Hispanic Americans.  In addition, LULAC seeks to establish partnerships with corporations to address the needs of the Hispanic community and to ensure that the nation's future workforce obtains the necessary education and skills to keep America productive.

I believe that you will find that the LULAC National Convention would be a wonderful event for the following reasons:

  1. The LULAC National Convention is the longest running and most widely attended Hispanic convention in the United States.  The 2008 LULAC National Convention will be our 79th Anniversary and we are expecting 10 to 12 thousand participants.

  2. Our convention draws leaders from Hispanic communities throughout the United States.  As an exhibitor you would have the opportunity to showcase your programs and your community service to influential Hispanics in your area.

  3. LULAC conventions draw top-notch speakers.  In the last several years, Al Gore, President Bush, Senator John McCain, Senator John Kerry, and Former President Bill Clinton just to name a few.

  4. Our convention gets national media exposure.  Last year we were featured on national and several local television stations, news papers, magazines and other media outlets.

  5. Sponsorship of the LULAC convention includes recognition at a lunch or dinner, exhibit spaces, advertisement in the convention program, and registration packages.

  6. Revenues from the convention go toward the funding of LULAC's award winning service programs for the Hispanic community.

  7. Convention sponsorship provides an excellent opportunity to access the resources and talent of the fastest growing minority group in the US.

Enclosed is some information about how you can participate in this spectacular event.  There are various opportunities for sponsoring events all week, a three-day exposition where your company can exhibit its products and services and recruit talented Hispanic professionals from across the country, and a convention program with advertising opportunities.

Please call Brent Wilkes, LULAC National Executive Director at (202) 833-6130 for more information.  I hope that you will be able to join us at this year’s convention and help us celebrate 79 years of service to the Hispanic community.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Rosa Rosales
LULAC National President
