We invite you to join us for the 2009 Latino Inaugural
Gala co-hosted by national Latino organizations to
commemorate the historic swearing-in of the Honorable Barack
Obama as the 44th President of the United States and the
record Latino voter turnout in November.
Latino elected officials, community leaders and well known,
award-winning Latino entertainers and celebrities will join
LULAC, NALEO, NCLR, Voto Latino, the Congressional Hispanic
Caucus Institute, the Congressional Hispanic Leadership
Institute, and the Democratic National Committee Hispanic
Caucus, among many others, in celebrating this momentous
occasion.
Excitement continues to build for the 2009 Latino Inaugural Gala – “Celebrando El Cambio – Renewing America’s Promise” with a star-studded line-up of performers for the Gala including Marc Anthony, Paulina Rubio, Rosario Dawson, Tony Plana, War, Cucu Diamantes & Yerba Buena, Elida Reyna, and Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, Alejandro Sanz, Lila Downs, Michael Salgado, Rosie Perez, Luiz Guzman, Wilmer Valderrama, Adam Rodriguez, Angelica Vale and activist Dolores Huerta scheduled for Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Union Station.
Latino voices were heard in unprecedented numbers in the
2008 presidential election. The Latino community will come
together again in a display of unity on Sunday, January 18,
2009 in Washington’s historic Union Station for the Latino
Inaugural Gala from 7:30 pm to midnight. The theme for the
evening is "Renewing America's Promise, Celebrando el Cambio,"
and the event will feature top-name Latino talent and
special visits by key Latino appointees. The
President-elect, Vice President-elect and their spouses have
been invited to attend.
Tickets are $200 each, will be sold on a first-come
first-served basis, and are limited to two tickets per
