for the Gala

The LULAC National Legislative Conference and Awards Gala addresses critical legislative issues affecting Hispanic Americans, and recognizes key leaders who have served the Hispanic community. Taking place from February 15-16, LULAC will celebrate 83 years of service to the community at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.

On February 15, LULAC kicks off our 2012 Legislative Conference with LULAC National President Margaret Moran presenting the 2012 Presidential Policy Agenda. Immediately after, LULAC shares exciting policy briefings with members of Congress, congressional staff, non-profit leaders, and community advocates. These policy briefings are free and open to the public. Seasoned experts will discuss key issues of importance to the Latino community, including education, job creation, and how the built environment affects the quality of life for all.

In addition to the presentation of the Presidential Policy Agenda and free policy briefings, LULAC invites the public to join us at the special Policy Luncheon, where representatives from the Administration will speak about providing advanced career awareness, mentorship opportunities, and workforce development training through the Summer Youth Jobs Program.

Later that evening, LULAC will honor three distinguished community leaders at our 15th Annual Legislative Awards Gala. Tickets are available for purchase to support the work of LULAC across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Attendees will also be invited and encouraged to participate in Congressional visits on Thursday. RSVPs are highly encouraged for all events taking place before 5pm on Wednesday, as well as the advocacy visits the next day.
