Resolution - US Postal Stamp to Commemorate LULAC's 80 Years

WHEREAS, the League of United Latin American Citizens is the largest and oldest Latino organization in the United States since its inception in 1929, Corpus Cristi, Texas; and
 
WHEREAS, LULAC continues its efforts to support and enhance civil rights, education, our cultural heritage, political involvement, and community advocacy; and
 
WHEREAS, LULAC is celebrating 80 years of struggle against racism, poverty, unequal educational opportunities for our children, and intolerance; and
 
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the National LULAC Office, with the support of our membership, initiate an action and organize a grass roots effort to establish a U.S. Postal Stamp to showcase, recognize, and commemorate LULAC’s 80 years of endeavors, community action, advocating for all peoples in the United States of America.
