Resolution - Hispanic Veteran's Memorial

Whereas the League of United Latin American Citizens recognizes and honors the contributions of Latino men and women for this great nation; and

Whereas the Veterans of Hispanic heritage have contributed heavily to make this country to make it what it is today, from the agricultural field to the battle fields; and

Whereas the special emphasis on our Mexican culture and community/barrio vernacular meaning it is from a perspective of noted barrio artist, Mr. Jesse Trevino, world renowned artist; and

Whereas in time of peace Hispanics have worked diligently to build a great America and in time of war they have fought courageously to defend and maintain its greatness; and

Whereas despite the sacrifices made by Hispanics somewhere in history their story has not been completely told; and

Whereas it is up to us as an organization, the League of United Latin American Citizens, to promote our culture, heritage and legacy in order to instill pride in our youth and our future leaders, therefore, let it be

Resolved that in San Antonio, TX in the spirit of appreciation a monument will be erected to honor all veterans as a tribute to Hispanic Veteran for their service to our country.
