Resolution - Living Conditions for Students and Families at New Mexico Colleges and Universities

WHEREAS, National and NM LULAC continues to be the leading organization to advance Hipanic civil rights in education and employment; and WHEREAS, living conditions at the New Mexico Highlands University dorms, apartments and housing have become dilapidated and deplorable; and WHEREAS, University students already strapped with high tuition rates are being charged more every year to live in these horrible conditions; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY NEW MEXICO LULAC will demand immediate resolution and relief to this problem by addressing this issue directly with university officials, the Governor’s office and State Legislators and Representatives.
