ARIZONA CONCENTRATION CAMPS 
 

WhereaS, LULAC has worked for 77 years to bring dignity and justice to all in our country; and 

WhereaS, the United States has not declared war against Mexico nor is a civil war occurring in the U.S., and 

WhereaS, Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial candidate, Don Goldwater, called for undocumented immigrants to be placed into labor concentration camps on the border and be forced to build a wall, 

Therefore be it resolved, that LULAC denounces this racist and repugnant attempt of this Republican gubernatorial candidate to set back human rights and dignity which the world had denounced so many years ago.   

LULAC will contact the leaders of the Republican Party as well as other elected officials to oppose this demeaning and racist campaign call. 

LULAC, which grew from the brave men and women who fought in World War II, does not wish that the USA return to past world atrocities.
