IMMIGRATION FILM
 

WhereaS, the League of United Latin American Citizens is very much concerned about the immigration situation that exists and more importantly the plight of immigrants themselves and their eventual fate; and 

WhereaS, the film “La Tragedia De Macario” by Pablo Veliz was inspired by the true events of immigrants from Mexico exhausting every effort to find a better life in the United States and paying the ultimate price as they attempt to cross the borders into a new world; and 

WhereaS, there is a dire need for this film to be watched by one and all in the hope of instilling more consciousness into their minds and hearts as to what immigrants actually have to face in their bid for a better life; and 

Therefore be it resolved, that LULAC will actively support and promote this must-see film at the local, state national level.
