Resolution
 

SUPPORT THE PERMANENCE OF THE AÉREA MUÑIZ AND FORT BUCHANAN BASES IN PUERTO RICO
 

Whereas, to solicit the delegates of the League of United Latin American Citizens during the National Convention 2005, Little Rock, Arkansas, for its endorsement and solidarity with resolutions presented by the Representatives and Senators of Puerto Rico to support the permanence of the Aérea Muñiz Base and the Fort Buchanan Base in Puerto Rico; and 

Whereas, the approved resolutions should be signed by the LULAC National President and the Executive Director, and immediately sent to the Congress of the United States and the President of the United States, George W. Bush.   

NOW Therefore, Be It Resolved, that LULAC take any and all appropriate action, including advocacy at the local, state and national levels; and 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that should these efforts fail to provide a remedy for this national crisis, LULAC will pursue every legal avenue available to address the problem.
