RESOLUTION

Not To Hold Elections on the 5 de Mayo Weekend

WHEREAS, we need more Hispanics in Office; and

WHEREAS, we need to empower potential candidates for office; and

WHEREAS, 5 de Mayo (May 5th) diminishes both candidates and voting Hispanics.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the League of United Latin American Citizens asks the United States Congress and the United States Senate leaders at all levels to not hold elections on the 5 de Mayo (May 5th) weekend.
