WHEREAS, National LULAC supports increase of Federal Funds to adult basic educational programs under Title one and Title 7; and

WHEREAS, National LULAC will not support any congressional legislation that decreases or eliminates Federal Funds to adults basic education programs as they exist in Title 1 and Title 7; and

WHEREAS, LULAC does not support shifting of Federal Funds under Title 1 and Title 7 from adult basic educational programs to work source; and

NOW THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, the League of United Latin American Citizens petition the Federal Legislative Branch and our National President George W. Bush to increase, not decrease or eliminate Federal Funds dedicated for adult education.
