The Houston based head of America's largest Hispanic civil rights organization went on to say, "We are currently negotiating with the best and brightest business consulting groups, attorneys and financiers to take our efforts to the next level." The goal is to engage world class firms such as McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman, Sachs & Co. as partners in this initiative.
The collaborative "Business Strike Force" will not only level the playing in the Byzantine world of corporate restructuring, but will develop a model that will be available for implementation across the United States and in Puerto Rico.
"We are ready to begin our pilot project in Texas immediately and are making plans to take the initiative nationwide within a year," states Dovalina.
"These small businesses aren't asking for handouts" says Marilou Martinez Stevens, Chair of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce. "Hispanic consumers, employees, and small businesses represent a tremendous untapped resource and investment opportunity for Fortune 500 companies. Our businesses have worked hard, taken risks, and played by the rules. Our Texas organization is comprised of over 30 affiliates representing over 12,000 businesses who are calling upon Corporate America to rethink their business practices with this important sector of the American economy."
