Washington, DC – The League of United Latin American Citizens National President Rosa Rosales issued the following statement on Senator Edward Kennedy:

“LULAC extends its prayers and best wishes to Senator Kennedy and his family. He has been a great friend of the LULAC organization and has fought for the civil rights of all. We hope for a speedy recovery.”

The League of United Latin American Citizens advances the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of Hispanic Americans through community-based programs operating at more than 700 LULAC councils nationwide.
