Subject:       2008 LULAC National Convention

We are now just a month away from the 79th LULAC National Convention in Washington, DC and this convention is shaping up to be one of our best and biggest national conventions ever. We have confirmed some fantastic speakers including Senator John McCain; Senator Hillary Clinton; Congresswoman Hilda Solis; NCLR President Janet Murguía; Congressman Joe Baca, Indy Race Car Driver Milka Duno; Dr. Elena Rios, M.D., M.S.P.H, President & CEO, National Hispanic Medical Association; RNC Chairman Mike Duncan and AFL-CIO Director of Healthcare Reform Project, Nick Unger. In addition, we look forward to confirming Senator Barack Obama; First Lady Laura Bush & Jenna Bush Hager; Actress America Ferrera; Senator Bob Menendez, Congresswomen Linda & Loretta Sanchez and Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez. We also have a great line up of workshops and seminars that will inform you of the latest issues affecting the Hispanic community.

Our exhibit area will include hundreds of corporate exhibits, a federal plaza, a career fair, a health fair, a housing fair, a cultural plaza and a cyberspace café. Also don’t forget to bring your tuxedo for the Friday night Presidential Banquet featuring a salute to Hispanic veterans.

In addition, please make your hotel arrangements at the Hilton Washington as soon as possible. Our block of rooms at a terrific rate of $154 per night will only be held until Friday, June 13, 2008 so get your rooms reserved while you can.
