Senate Democrats To Host 1st. Annual Latino Youth Summit.

Students nationwide experience Democracy at work.

Washington, DC The League of United Latin American Citizens is sponsoring 11 students to participate in the 1st Annual Latino Youth Summit on Tuesday, October 16th and Wednesday, October 17. U.S. Senators: Harry Reid (D-NV), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Ken Salazar (D-CO), and Robert Menéndez (D-NJ) will be among the Senators speaking to the students.

The purpose of the Summit is to provide a forum for our nation’s fastest growing segment of the population to discuss policies important to their community. The summit will feature various U.S. Senators who will join a large group of Hispanic students from around the U.S. to discuss the critical issues facing their communities in the areas of immigration, education, civil rights, judicial system amongst other issues.
