STATEMENT FROM NATIONAL PRESIDENT ROSA ROSALES REGARDING TODAY’S VOTE TO REAUTHORIZE THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT .

Washington, DC – The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) has released the following statement: 

"The reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act is a must. LULAC strongly urges the passage of this significant piece of legislation which reflects the struggle of minorities to ensure that every vote is counted and that elections are carried in a fair and just manner. For LULAC it is critical that the civil rights of all citizens regardless of their race, color or creed are protected.”
