								Nancy Pelosi, Deputy Assistant to the President 
								and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Ruben 
								Barrales, and Rep. Napolitano have earned top 
								honors from the League of United Latin American 
								Citizens, for outstanding service and commitment 
								to the Hispanic community and for strong 
								advocacy of policies and legislation most 
								beneficial to Hispanic Americans.  LULAC will 
								present them with the LULAC National Legislative 
								Award at their seventh annual gala on March 9,

								United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is the 
								oldest and largest Latino civil rights 
								organization in the United States.  LULAC 
								advances the economic condition, educational 
								attainment, political influence, health, and 
								civil rights of Hispanic Americans through 
								community-based programs operating at more than 
								700 LULAC councils nationwide.
