Today, LULAC, a member of NHLA launched its Latinos United for Healthcare campaign and website www.latinosunitedforhealthcare.org. Latinos United for Healthcare will serve as a platform for Latinos to engage in the healthcare reform debate and its website will give people the tools they need to make their voices heard by providing relevant and up-to-date information about the current debate and ways to influence national policymakers.

The guiding principles of the campaign:
1) Improve and make healthcare more affordable
2) End healthcare disparities
3) Not permit discrimination in the care received by the individual or families

It’s time for everyone to get involved at this critical juncture in the healthcare reform debate. All Latinos who care about the health of their family should visit www.latinosunitedforhealthcare.org to learn more and get involved. Sign the petition, call your Members of Congress, write a letter to the editor, and urge family, friends and neighbors to do the same.
