National Hispanic Council on Aging (NHCOA)
Announces New Offices.
August 10, 2006
Dear NHCOA Familia of Friends, Partners, and
Supporters:
So many people who joined us in Miami for our
National Conference this year remarked on what
an energizing experience it all was – allowing
us to return home and to our communities with a
new sense of purpose and dedication (and in
possession of a number of practical new
strategies, techniques, funding source tips, and
contacts). My colleagues and I wish to thank you
again, from the bottoms of our hearts, for
supporting NHCOA in its Conference and other
initiatives this year. Your continuing support
has helped us fulfill our mission on behalf of
the Hispanic older adults.
We also want to take this opportunity to tell
you about some significant organizational news:
This past week we here in Washington have had
the opportunity to take a big step that’s been
similarly stimulating, and that will also yield
great practical results. We’ve moved from our
old offices on Connecticut Avenue, NW, to a
historic office building near the White House:
The Walker Building
734 15th Street, NW Suite 1050
Washington, DC 20005
You can reach us by telephone at (202) 347-
9733, and by fax at (202) 347-9735
Just as importantly, moving to our new address
has been the occasion for us to reflect on our
mission and our basic priorities. We are
committing ourselves to a new era for NHCOA of
optimism, creativity, openness, and
accountability, with a heightened focus on
productive collaborations and adherence to the
highest standards of organizational and
individual achievement.
Come visit us in our new space the next time
you’re in Washington! And please accept our
gratitude, once again, for helping us support,
protect, empower, and honor the U.S.’s Hispanic
older adults and their families.
Sincerely,
Yanira Cruz
